This is my Facebook post on 18 January 2018 before the launch of my haiku book in Odia. I reproduce the same to keep my fans and followers apprised about the haiku events in the space of Odia haiku.
~~
I am really delighted to have a haiku book published in my native language Odia. This is one of the small and humblest ways of redeeming the debt to the land and people that shaped my sensibilities. I thank all those innumerable extraordinarily brilliant haiku poets of East and West who have influenced me directly or indirectly in learning the finer aspects of this genre. I am really thankful to Kala Ramesh and Angelee Deodhar, two corner deities of Indian haiku and Shobhana Kumar , a mainstream English poet to have consented to grace the occasion of my book launch on 3rd Feb 2018 at Odisha Art & Literature Festival(OALF), Bhubaneswar and participate in a panel discussion. I am also thankful to Pune-based artist, Alaka Yeravadekar, for allowing me to use the images of some of her astounding paintings that adorn the pages. I am extremely thankful to Dhauli Books and its steadfast flag bearer Manu Dash for showing my writings the light of the day.
